BROWNSVILLE (October 14, 2009)—Former Brownsville choir director Ramiro C. Lozano, 46, faces prison after pleading guilty to enticing boys into posing for sexually explicit photos at school, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.

Lozano is held without bond pending sentencing Jan. 13.

Prosecutors say Lozano, who taught at Besteiro Middle School until he was fired, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of children.

Each count carries a minimum penalty of 15 years in prison.

Weslaco police arrested Lozano on Dec. 21, 2008, for public intoxication after finding him asleep in his car.

A search turned up a computer and a digital camera with child porn images.

The incidents involving three 13-year-old boys happened in June and November 2008.

The boys in the photos were identified and interviewed by law officers.

OMG! There is way too much of this going on. The state needs to get tougher or let the parents loose on these low-lifes! I'm a grandma and have NO compunction about "assaulting" these goons to the death!
