Mental Issues Raised as 2nd Texas Inmate of Week Set to Die
A condemned prisoner who volunteered for execution and in recent weeks changed his mind is hoping a court spares him from a trip to the Texas death chamber.

(TDCJ) Thirty-year-old Danielle Simpson is set to die Nov. 18, 2009 in Huntsville for the 2000 abduction-slaying of an 84-year-old East Texas woman who was bound with duct tape and hauled around for hours in the trunk of her car. Then beaten, weighted down with a cinder block and thrown into a river outside Palestine.

HUNTSVILLE (November 18, 2009)-A condemned prisoner who volunteered for execution and in recent weeks changed his mind is hoping a court spares him from a trip to the Texas death chamber.
Thirty-year-old Danielle Simpson is set to die Wednesday evening in Huntsville for the abduction-slaying almost 10 years ago of an 84-year-old East Texas woman who was bound with duct tape and hauled around for hours in the trunk of her car. Then Geraldine Davidson was beaten, weighted down with a cinder block and thrown into a river outside Palestine.
Simpson this year won approval from a federal court that he was competent to decide to drop his appeals. Then he reversed himself and lawyers now are in state and federal courts trying to save him from lethal injection.

$50,000 a year times ten years equals to a half million dollars!! And these people will try anything to keep from getting a Lethal-Injection! Did the innocent 84 year old woman get an extra 10 years of life?? Lethal-Injection costs $85.00, get it done!! He is of 'no'good to Society!! Move on to the next one!!
Put him to death and get on with other business. His victim did not get additional time. Take out the trash and close the lid! Enough wasted time and money on this scum.
