KOUNTZE (November 24, 2009)—The Hardin County Grand Jury has indicted two Silsbee High School students in the alleged sexual assault of a school cheerleader.
The indictments charge Silsbee player Rakheem Jamal Bolton, 18, and former player Christian Paul Rountree, 19, on single counts of sexual assault of a child.
Their bonds were set at $250,000 each, but a Hardin County Jail official said neither was in custody Tuesday afternoon.
The charges stem from an alleged attack at a post-game party in October 2008.
The indictments come from the second Hardin County grand jury to review the case.
A previous grand jury declined to indict in January.
Silsbee Police Chief Dennis Allen said the cheerleader said the players cornered her in a room of the house where the party was held at about 2:30 a.m. in the morning, closed the door, locked it and then assaulted her.
The players left after other partygoers heard what was going on and started kicking in the door, police said.
After the alleged assault, the cheerleader was taken to an area hospital where evidence including DNA was collected.
Police were also investigating whether the teenagers were able to drink at the party.

Wait, high school students, partying at 2:30 am?? That's why these things happen. ALL of them in HS should have been at home at that time. Oh, but wait, parents now days don't care that their kids stay out like this, but when something happens like this(NOT saying it is all right) it's a crime! They never should have been out then!!! Parents need to take control of their children!!!!
This might set off some tension in that part of the state.
Lock the thugs up till they forget what they are there for!
