Get To Know Casey!
Casey Wood is a general assignment reporter at KWTX News 10, the most watched news station in Central Texas.
Wood joined the News 10 team in May 2014.
Before coming to Central Texas, Wood spent the majority of his time working with CBS News. At CBS News, Wood first started working with Fort Worth native, Bob Schieffer, at Face the Nation. He then worked at the CBS Evening News and CBS This Morning.
While with CBS News, Wood had the opportunity to cover the 57th Presidential Inauguration, Hurricane Sandy, the White House Correspondents Dinner, and Super Bowl’s XLVII and XLVIII. He also reported for CBS-owned programs Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.
Wood graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He was also a Division I athlete at the University, competing for the Colonial's soccer team.
He was born in Illinois and is one of four "children" in his family. Casey has an identical twin brother, Tobey, an older sister named Lindsey, and a dog named Tucker. His parents, Karen and Scott, still live in their family home just north of Chicago.
Today, Wood commits much of his time getting to know the Central Texas community. An avid runner and lover of sports you can find him running Cameron Park or cheering on the Baylor Bears all season long. GO BEARS! While new to the community, Casey is excited to call Central Texas his new home, so when you see him around don't hesitate to say hi!
