Christopher Heath Bio Save Email Print
Name: Christopher Heath
Title: Anchor/Reporter
Email Address: christopher.heath@kwtx.com

Born in New York City, Christopher Heath and his family moved to Dallas when
he was just eight years old. Christopher attended Southlake Carroll High
School where he got his first taste of broadcast in the school's KDGN News.
After two years of junior college, Christopher enrolled at The University of
North Texas where he received his degree in Broadcast Journalism. Just nine
days after graduation, Christopher started his first job in TV working as
reporter for KWTX's sister station KXII in Sherman, Texas.

For almost a year, Christopher covered news on both sides of the Red River,
working on such stories as the Montague County escapees and the 6th
anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. Christopher joined the News 10
team in March of 2002 as a Bell County reporter.

For more than four years Christopher covered news in the southern part of
Central Texas going as far as the Sate Capitol in Austin to cover the Texas
Legislature, San Antonio to cover the Base Realignment and Closure
proceedings and to New Orleans, Louisiana to cover the aftermath of
Hurricane Katrina.

In 2006, Christopher's work with the soldiers of Fort Hood led him to Iraq
where he spent more than a month reporting on the troops of Fort Hood's
Fourth Infantry Division as they carried out combat operations.

Upon his return to Texas, Christopher moved to Waco to take over as News
Ten's Weekend Anchor.

His hobbies include playing hockey and baseball. In his spare time he enjoys
being with family, friends, and his sixty pound Chocolate Lab, Maggie.
