Matt Felder came to KWTX in November of 2006 and now serves as a reporter covering Bell County and Fort Hood. Before coming to Central Texas, Matt worked as a general assignments reporter, fill-in sunrise anchor and even a weather forecaster for KAVU in Victoria, Texas. Throughout his early career Matt has also worked as an intern reporter for Fox Sports Southwest covering both collegiate and professional sports and as an intern reporter and producer for KIII in Corpus Christi, Texas. A native of South Texas, Matt has always shared a passion for news and information since high school. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University in College Station in 2003 and went on to receive a Masters in Journalism from the University of North Texas in 2005. When not at work Matt can be found on stage in theatre productions, out with friends, visiting family or enjoying the outdoors with his chocolate lab Chase. He also never misses a chance to hit up A&M sporting events or take a trip to the ocean.
