Bill Young has been with News 10 since May of 2004. You can see him five days a week on both News 10 This Morning and News Ten at Noon. You can also watch each Monday evening as Bill surprises a deserving Central Texas teacher with a Golden Apple Award.

Bill joined News 10 from KOKH-TV in Oklahoma City where he worked as a reporter and assignment editor during his senior year at Oklahoma City University.

Before working in television, Bill worked as a reporter for a local newspaper near his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Bill has been recognized by the Texas Association of School Boards for his work in education reporting, and is named as a member of the Texas Media Honor Roll.

When he's not at work Bill stays busy working with a number of charities and organizations. He is currently the head of the scholarship committee for the AJ Moore Academy Business Advisory Board, co-chair of publicity for the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure, and is the chairman of the Purple Party fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

Bill also works with the marketing committee for Historic Waco Foundation, and volunteers his time to the annual Relay for Life in both Waco and McGregor. Bill is also a committee member for the Back Porch Club at the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo, and has also twice won ribbons at the fair for his guacamole recipe.

Aside from work and volunteerism, Bill enjoys spending time with friends here in Central Texas, as well as Austin, Dallas, and Oklahoma City. Bill is an admitted car nut since birth, and is always catching up on the latest news from the automotive world. During football season you can usually find Bill cheering on his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
