A job where you talk about sports and get paid for it is not a bad setup, at least for Ricardo LeCompte, who joined News 10 in August 2010 as the weekend sports anchor and weekday sports reporter.
Prior to KWTX and 254 Sports, Ricardo spent three-and-a-half years at KFDX-TV in Wichita Falls as a weekend sports anchor/reporter. Before that, a year-and-a-half as a news/sports photographer at WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, La.
Ricardo says some of the most memorable things he's covered include Dallas Cowboys training camp in San Antonio, Midwestern State men's soccer Final Four in Orange Beach, Ala. and the New Orleans Saints first home game in the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina.
When not covering sports in Central Texas, Ricardo spends his time playing basketball, working out, cooking and road-tripping.
