Get to know Sean!
Sean Giggy joined KWTX as the weekend sports anchor in October of 2012 and became Sports Director in January 2014. He previously spent two-and-a-half years in the much colder temperatures of Wisconsin. This is Sean's first time living in the south and he is excited to get to know the people and sports of central Texas.
Sean grew up in Indiana and graduated with a degree in broadcasting from Huntington University in 2008. After graduation, he spent nearly two years as the sports editor at The Herald-Press, the daily newspaper in Huntington, Ind. From there, Sean headed even further north to Wausau, Wis. where he covered everything from football, basketball and wrestling to hockey, snowmobile racing and ice fishing. He was honored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for his feature on a 14-year-old girl participating in stock car racing.
Away from work, he likes to play basketball and volleyball and enjoys cooking and singing whenever he gets the chance. He is also active with his church and loves to volunteer.
Sean is excited to be in Waco and welcomes any story ideas, tips or thoughts you may have. Feel free to send him an email or say hi when you see him out in your town!
