Kourtney, I was on Hwy. 84 going east bound towards Gatesville when this young man passed me at a very high rate of speed, he was unfortunate to have met up with another driver who apparently was abiding by the law when he made a complete stop at the stop sign then proceeded forward to make a left hand turn after seeing no one coming from the west. This driver was abiding by the law and unfortunate Justin wasn't, my heart goes out to both families and we don't know what Gods will is but someday we will. God bless.

Everyone has been impacted by the awful accident. Please pray for everyone because this was a tragedy that was of no fault either side.

I really appreciate the nice comments for my boyfriend Justin, but for those who are opening their mouths & putting their input in, seriously unless you know what you are talking about then you really need to refrain. I have lost my boyfriend & his family has lost their son & it was not Justins fault. He had no where to go to get around the man who pulled out & blocked the entire road.

MY prayers go out to ALL involved. A life was lost -- no matter who was at fault - a family is grieving and having to bury a young person. We also saw the wreck but right AFTER it happened --- my prayers are with you all! God Bless You!

I saw this wreck minutes after it happened. And so did my young son. This was a heart-wrenching and terrible thing to witness. I am not sure that motorcycles and cars can co-exist. There are blind spots for cars and there is nothing between the motorcycle driver and the road. I honestly do not believe there is a blatant disrespect for cycles from car drivers - they sometimes CANNOT be seen. I think Dustin who commented below has a point, It is like joining the military..you have to accept some responsiblity and believe that it is worth the risk. I cannot imagine the pain and grief that Justin's family must be experiencing. There is nothing that any of us can say to temper that. My thoughts and heart are with you. May peace find you somehow.

To Dustin Location: Hewitt. You say you think "Motorcycles should be outlawed or made to drive a slower speed."? Are you serious or just instigating a verbal fight? Get some facts before showing off your lack of knowledge. 99% of ALL MOTORCYCLE/CAR WRECKS are caused by the car driver never seeing the motorcycle (no matter how fast or slow the bike was going). Therefore, I think what you REALLY MEANT was: "ALL CAR DRIVERS MUST BE FORCED TO GO ONLY 25 MPH, WITH FOUR OTHER PERSONS SCANNING THE ROADWAY BEFORE, ON BOTH SIDES, AND BEHIND THE VEHICLE BEFORE MOVING AT ANY TIME." That will solve the car drivers who cannot sseem to see motorcycles which have headlights on! Sounds reasonable right?!? Oh, yeah, you personally need to lose your license for spouting idiocy about bikers. YES, I ride! YES, I have avoided multiple wrecks which would have been the car driver's fault. NO, I don't think that my change of your wrods would be reasonable. I don't think your words are reasonable either!

This accident was not Justin's fault and anybody saying it should feel horrible. You have no idea what his family and friends are going through, and FYI Justin was not speeding.

Motorcycles should be outlawed or made to drive a slower speed. I've had friends killed while riding on them and being dumb, i've had friends obeying the law get severely injured on them. seems to me it's just like joining the military, u know the risk and u accept it. RIP.

We also passed the accident and our prayers go out to the families involved. Regardless of who was at fault the families need our prayers both the deceased and the other driver.

Please people drive cautiously.... motorcycles are difficult to see. Pay attention at ALL time.

Justin was not driving to fast. The driver admitted he never saw Justin. He pulled out and blocked both lanes. Justin had no where to go. There is no evidence he was driving to fast. The driver should have gotten a ticket. My thoughts are with the family who has lost thier son & brother because someone did not look before pulling out on a road.
