I enjoy some of your comments, and agree with gramma: gatesville, We are Texans and can deal with it, (especially since we can not control it). Ca'mon rain!!!

It's gonna flood and we're gonna deal with it, just like we dealt with the drought. Let it rain, let it snow, let it ice! We can handle it, and contrary to snowman's beliefs, we're not idiots! We're Texans! And we will be fine!

Yes, Snowman, all the natural signs are there to indicate a colder-than-normal winter (patterns of birds, thickness of beaver huts, etc.) I, too, can handle the winter weather (for those that question my every post, I used to be on a Search & Rescue team in a mountainous area, and we were trained for all-weather survival. Guess that blows your previous theory about my not being able to care for or save myself in a crisis, doesn't it? Reasearch and preparedness go hand-in-hand.)

get ready because the weather predicted for texas this year is colder and wetter than normal. better get that wood split before winter hits. i can handle the snow, it's the idiots that drive in the ice that make it bad.

Yes - hard to complain about the rain, as little as we've had as of late. Too bad there isn't a way we can save it for the dry months. Be safe everyone!

no more rain. all the creeks are going to flood, our yards in the country look like tanks.

Difficult to complain about the rain after going through a horrible drought the past couple of years, but this is getting to be a big mess. If this pattern continues, there is going to be some massive record breaking ice storms. Hope that the Utility companies and tree crews are preparing now.
