Four Arrested In Local Robberies; Two Are Former HS Football Players
Four men have been arrested in connection with a pair of armed holdups in South Temple, two of whom are former Temple High School football players, police confirmed Friday.

TEMPLE (March 12, 2010)-Police arrested Derick Davis, 18 and Anthony Coulter, 18, both of Temple, Thursday in connection with a pair of armed robberies last month in South Temple.
Temple Police Sgt Brad Hunt confirmed Friday morning that both Davis and Coulter played football for Temple High School last fall.
Davis, a senior, played at running back and line backer positions; Coulter, also a senior, played at tight end and line backer positions.
Marcus Cunningham, 20, and David Allen, 18, both of Temple, were arrested last Friday in connection with the same robberies.
Each of the four is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
Bonds were pending Thursday for Davis and Coulter.
Cunningham and Allen remained in the Bell County Jail Thursday in lieu of bonds of $75,000 each.
The charges stem from robberies on Feb. 23.
The first occurred at around 3 a.m. in the 1600 block of Canyon Creek Drive, where a resident told officers a group of men approached him, one armed with a pistol.
The victim said the men demanded his personal items and then drove off in a vehicle.
Then at around 9:30 p.m. on the same day, three Temple teenagers were robbed at gunpoint in the 3400 block of Stratford.
The victims, who were all 17, told officers a car in which four men were riding pulled up beside them.
They said one of the men pointed a gun at them and demanded money.
The four men then drove off.
