TEMPLE (March 15, 2010)—A 57-year-old man was taken to Scott & White Hospital Monday evening after he ended up pinned between a wall, a dresser and an SUV that crashed through the wall of an apartment at the Westgate Apartments at 3007 Antelope Trail.

The accident happened at about 5:40 p.m. Monday at the complex, which is near the Sammons golf course.

Temple firefighters used a saw to free him.

Police said the driver fled after the accident, but officers found him at a nearby convenience store.

He was detained, but wasn’t immediately arrested.

Temple Fire & Rescue said he was also taken to Scott & White.

The name and condition of the injured resident wasn’t immediately available Monday evening.

The American Red Cross arranged lodging Monday night for an adult and a child who were displaced as a result of the crash.

Alright y'all, lets be cool here. The driver didn't mean to pin that man in his own house. He just had a cafeen attack and lost control of his vehicle thats all. He needed to go to the convenicnce store and get his coffee. We just need to let him go with the rest of the scum and pat him on the back for not killing the poor guy that was at home not bothering anyone.
