Toys for Tots, the annual US Marine Corps drive to gather new, unwrapped toys for children in need is in full swing. In Central Texas, News 10’s Rusty Garrett leads the drive by inviting viewers to bring new, unwrapped toys to the television station at 6700 American Plaza in Waco, or directly to him when he is on location.

Toys for Tots, the annual Marine Corps drive to gather new, unwrapped toys for needy children is held prior to Christmas each year. News 10’s Rusty Garrett is the Chairman of the Central Texas drive.

News 10 viewers can bring new, unwrapped toys to the television station at 6700 American Plaza in Waco where they will be placed around the news set. All the donated toys are gathered up by the Marines and taken to their distribution center where the families of needy children are able to pick up their toys before Christmas.

From 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25th, Rusty Garrett will be collecting donations at the Wal-Mart in Bellmead.

From 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, he’ll be at the Waco Wal-Mart store on Hewitt Drive.

From 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, he’ll be at the Wal-Mart in Belton.

This year’s drive-through toy drop off will be held on Friday, Dec. 16, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Toys can be dropped off at the News 10 studio in Waco at 6700 American Plaza, Temple Wal-Mart on 31st Street, and the Killeen Wal-Mart on Central Texas Expressway.
