Could it get any worse than Day One? The answer thankfully to that is no. I arrive at the RBC Center for press conferences and practices
at about 10:00am. The media setup goes smoothly and finally I can concentrate on the job at hand.
First it's shoot some video of NC State practice since, if the Lady Bears win, that's who they get in round 2. Mission accomplished.
The Lady Bears are up next and the focus of my story is to set the mood for the young Baylor freshman experiencing this for the first time.
I interview Latara Darrett, Danielle Wilson, Jessika Bradley, and Angela Tisdale outside the locker room, while rolling a tape on Kim Mulkey, Jhasmin Player,
Bernice Mosby in the official podium press conference.
After sorting out all the interviews, and practice video, the story is written and it's off to the hotel for check in and editing on the laptop in
my room. All that goes rather smoothly so you will see the preview of Baylor vs Chattanooga on channel ten tonight!
Impressions from the first day of practice from the team. They've obviously been there done that before. The upperclassmen are focused, the freshman
a little star struck but they work hard in practice and everything seems to go off without a hitch. I look for the Lady Bears to beat Chattanooga by
double digits. Watching the Lady Mocs workout out, yes they are talented but Baylor is definitly the more atheltic team.
More on gameday and round one to come from Raliegh... and hopefully no more problems for me!
