WACO (July 29, 2010)-A Bellmead man was found guilty Thursday morning of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
Karl Mayer initially was charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, seven counts of indecency with a child and three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, but the verdict was only applied to the continuous sexual abuse charge and one count of indecency.
Punishment testimony began at about 1:30 p.m.
Continuous sexual abuse of a child carries a mandatory minimum punishment of 25 years in state prison but the sentence could range to life.
The state alleged Mayer continually sexually abused a child younger than 14 over a period of weeks between November and December 2008.

Would love to see a law mandated where all men that sexually abuse children are castrated. Atleast he was caught and will be punished.
