Tornadoes Slam Parts Of Kansas
Deadly tornadoes have caused millions of dollars of damage in Kansas.

(June 12, 2008)--Tornadoes touched down in Kansas Wednesday night, claiming at least two lives, injuring dozens more, and causing millions of dollars in damage.
In the small town of Chapman, a twister destroyed or damaged about one hundred homes.
Local officials said about 85 percent of the community suffered heavy damage and left the town without electricity, water or gas.
At Kansas State University in Manhattan, roofs were torn off campus buildings and windows were blown out.
A fraternity house also suffered severe damage.
University officials estimate the damage exceeds $20 million.
Classes were cancelled for the day Thursday.
Hundreds of homes in Manhattan were also severely damaged or destroyed.
A tornado also hit the town of Soldier, blowing homes and buildings apart.
