(July 6, 2008)—There were no reports of damage or injuries after a tornado touched down Saturday in a remote area in Nebraska.

The tornado was produced by a storm over Valentine, Neb. that also produced one-and-a-quarter inch hail.

Golf ball size hail was reported at Gresham, Neb.

A Few Showers Again Today!

Isolated showers will be possible again today across Central Texas, but likely fewer in number...then widely scattered showers and thunderstorms possible Friday and Saturday. Our weather toward the middle of next week will depend heavily on the eventual progress of Gustav.

The National Hurricane Center is forecasting a west-northwest motion for Gustav over the next three days followed by a turn to a more northwesterly course. On that forecast track, Gustav would approach the central Gulf Coast early next week, with the greatest risk between the upper Texas coast and panhandle of Florida. It is important to keep in mind that track and intensity forecasts for hurricanes have large errors beyond three days.
