(July 12, 2008)--The Bermuda Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for the Atlantic island because of Hurricane Bertha.
The Category One storm has been nearly stationary for hours, but the U.S. National Hurricane Center says it is expected to chug north at about two miles per hour later Saturday.
A tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected within the next 24 hours.
Tropical storms carry winds of at least 39 mph.
Bertha, with sustained winds near 85 miles per hour, was about 210 miles southeast of Bermuda Saturday morning, and little change was expected over the next 24 hours.
