(July 28, 2008)--Authorities were searching Monday for two people who were swept away in flash floods in the Ruidoso, N.M. area, as hundreds of people wait to see what's happened to their homes.
Authorities say the two people lost their footing near the swollen Rio Ruidoso Sunday.
They haven't been identified.
The New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management says between 300-500 people have been evacuated because of the floods.
There are no reports of fatalities.
Rain produced by the remnants of Hurricane Dolly has fallen on the area since Friday.
