(August, 25 2008) – It could rain all week along a section of the Gulf Coast.

What had been Tropical Storm Fay is expected to drop several inches of rain in Alabama, Mississippi, eastern Louisiana and Tennessee.

But a National Weather Service forecaster says the five-day rainfall projection of six-to-seven inches south of the Tennessee River and three-to-four inches north of it will be spread out. It isn't expected to create a flood problem but might not be a total drought-buster.

The story is different in several Florida neighborhoods. Authorities have been using boats, not cars, to evacuate people from flooded homes. Some streets are under as much as four-feet of water.
