MENA, Ark. (April 12, 2009)--Church bells rang Sunday across the tornado-damaged town of Mena in west Arkansas as hard rains and thunder overtook Easter hymns.

The early morning showers sent debris floating down street gutters and had parishioners running into church to celebrate Easter.

At St. Agnes Church, Bishop Anthony Taylor told those gathered not to be fearful.

Although he acknowledged Mena as a community was "weak and vulnerable" now, he urged them not to forget they had the power of God on their side.

The rains were expected to continue through much of the day Sunday, likely hampering recovery efforts from Thursday's tornado that killed three and injured 30.

The same weather system spawned a tornado that killed two people Friday in central Tennessee.
