AUSTIN, Minn. (June 18, 2009)--The mayor of Austin, Minn. says his town appears to have been hit by at least two tornadoes and maybe as many as five.

The storm Wednesday night flipped cars on their sides and sent trees through roofs.

It also flipped a semi on its side.

A sheriff's dispatcher said there was a report that a car was blown into a house.

No serious injuries have been reported, but one man who was inside a shed suffered scrapes and bruises when it overturned.

The National Weather Service says evidence points to a tornado, but officials won't know for sure until they surveyed the damage.

Tornadoes were also reported in other parts of southern Minnesota and in Nebraska.

One slammed into a plant west of Aurora, Neb., but no major injuries were reported.

Storms also swept across Iowa overnight with heavy rain, hail and strong winds, leaving widespread damage and power outages.
