(July 3, 2009)—Temperatures in Central Texas will be right around the century mark through most the long holiday weekend.
Highs Friday and Saturday are expected to be 100 degrees or more and heat indices may be even higher.
Slight cooler temperatures are expected Sunday, however, along with at least a slight chance of some isolated showers.
Residents with plans to spend some time outdoors over the holiday are urged to drink plenty of water and to be aware of the potential danger the heat may pose.
