Residents Clean Up After Stormy Night
Residents were cleaning up Tuesday after a stormy night in the Denver area.

DENVER (July 21, 2009)—Residents of the Denver area were cleaning up Tuesday while utility crews restored power after a hail storm pounded the area, causing street flooding and downing utility lines.
As much as an inch of rain fell in just 40 minutes west of the city and flood advisories were issued for the area.
In Lakewood and Wheat Ridge, there were a number of reports of broken windows and downed trees.
A tree crashed through the roof of a house built in 1892.
More than 50,000 customers were without power at the height of the storm, Xcel Energy reported.
