SALT LAKE CITY (October 27, 2009)—Snow fell along Utah’s Wasatch Front Range Tuesday as the first major snow of the season moved across the northern part of the state.

The snow caused a few problems for commuters.

Heavy snow is expected in the mountains, where accumulations of as much as two feet are possible.

The snow is expected to continue through the day Tuesday before it winds down late Tuesday night and into the early part of the day Wednesday.

In mountain valleys, as much as four inches of snow is possible.

Forecasters expected the storm system to stall near the Four Corners area late Tuesday and then regroup and head east on Wednesday and Thursday.
