DENVER (October 29, 2009)--A slow-moving snowstorm showed no signs of letting up Thursday in Colorado and the western Plains.
Roads across Colorado and Wyoming are covered with ice and snow from the first big blast of wintry weather in the West.
Before it starts moving out later Thursday, forecasters say the storm could drop up to 4 feet of snow in some high areas in the Rocky Mountains.
Parts of Colorado have gotten as much as 28 inches of snow from the system that shut down schools, delayed flights and caused multi-car pileups.
The storm spread snow from northern Utah to western Nebraska.
It's the biggest October snowmaker in the Denver area in more than a decade.
