Ida’s Remnants Continue To Cause Problems
Flood watches and warnings were in effect for another day Wednesday as the remnants of Hurricane Ida continued to produce heavy rain.

(November 11, 2009)--The National Weather Service issued flood watches and warnings Wednesday for most of North Carolina as the remnants of Hurricane Ida continued to bring heavy rain across the state.
Meteorologists said rainfall amounts will reach up to five inches in North Carolina by Thursday morning.
Farther south, heavy rain overnight caused several metro Atlanta area creeks to flood.
Most of north and central Georgia has been under a flash flood watch.
Rain is expected to continue in the South Wednesday as the weather system continues tacking northeastward up the East Coast.
