Strong Earthquake Rocks Northern Chile
A strong earthquake has struck northern Chile.

SANTIAGO, Chile (November 13, 2009)--The U.S. Geological Survey says a 6.5-magnitude quake has strong northern Chile with an epicenter is between the cities of Iquique and Arica, and about 60 miles from each.
The quake struck just after midnight local time Friday.
The USGS reported the quake had a relatively shallow depth of 6 miles.
Powerful earthquakes are common in the South American nation, which stretches along the quake-prone Pacific "Ring of Fire."

Unbelievable.. One would expect the author of the piece to re-read it at least once. This way simple spelling and grammatical errors found in the opening sentence don’t make it to the final copy.. ftg
