VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (April 15, 2014) An armored carrier company's van carrying as much as $1 million crashed Tuesday on an icy roadway in the Flint, Mich., area and spilled a portion of its load.
The van crashed Tuesday morning in Vienna Township after the driver lost control of the vehicle, which collided with another vehicle and spun around, Genesee County sheriff's Sgt. Pete Stocchi said.
Some coins and cash spilled from the van onto the shoulder of the roadway and in a parking lot where the van came to rest.
Crews from the company cleaned up the money.
A company employee riding in the back of the van and the other vehicle's driver were taken to a hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
