BOULDER, Colo. (September 13, 2013)—Saturday’s football game between Fresno State and Colorado in Boulder, Colo., was postponed Friday because of the flooding that's devastating the state.
The teams were scheduled to play Saturday at Folsom Field.
A makeup date wasn’t announced Friday, but the game could be rescheduled for the end of the season.
University of Colorado Chancellor Philip DiStefano said that while the weather is improving, the community "is hurting. ... It's not a good time to put pressure on the community and divert attention away from people in need."
Fresno State opens Mountain West Conference play next week against Boise State, while the Buffs begin Pac-12 play at Oregon State.
Up the road in Fort Collins, the game between Colorado State and Cal Poly was still scheduled to be played Saturday, but officials were evaluating the situation.
