(April 20, 2013)—Central Texas tied a low temperature record overnight.
The official reading Saturday morning in Central Texas was 38 degrees, which ties a record set for the date in 1953.
On Friday morning, the mercury dropped to 34 in Central Texas, the National Weather Service said.
That was 3 degrees cooler than the previous record low of 37 set in 1988
