NORMAN, Okla. (December 18, 2012)--A week before Christmas, forecasters are warning that holiday travel could be disrupted by snow and high winds in the Southern Plains.
A storm out of the Rocky Mountains could bring whiteout or blizzard conditions to parts of Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas on Christmas night, the National Weather Service said Tuesday.
It’s too early to predict the storm’s track, the chance of snow and exactly where and when the storm could be at its worst, but forecasters said the weather could force travelers to change their plans next week.
They say later reports would include better predictions of where the storm may hit.
