DALLAS (June 14, 2012)--An outdoor glass exhibit in Dallas by the famed artist Chihuly was one of the casualties of a storm that produced hail the size of baseballs Wednesday night.
Dallas Arboretum officials say several pieces of Chihuly artwork suffered minor damage Wednesday night.
Arboretum crews gently picked up broken glass from the displays.
The hail broke out the windshields of vehicles and several skylights were smashed at NorthPark Center mall.
Fannin County officials said three people were taken to a hospital when storms damaged some mobile homes in the Randolph area, about 60 miles northeast of Dallas.
Aerial video showed a theater marquee smashed in the Lakewood district northeast of downtown Dallas.
Cars in Lakewood and many other areas of Dallas County had their windows smashed.
