DENVER (September 23, 2013)--The body of a 79-year-old woman has been found after the historic floods in northern Colorado, increasing the death toll to eight.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Department said Monday the woman’s body was found on the bank of the Big Thompson River on Saturday, but it’s not clear why the death wasn't announced until Monday.
The woman's name was not released.
Authorities say the woman was one of three people considered missing and presumed dead.
They initially said she was 80.
