AUSTIN (October 16, 2013)—Investigators were trying to determine Wednesday whether the death of a man whose body was recovered from a flooded creek in Austin was related to the storms that drenched the region.
A man who was on a walk Tuesday night discovered the body in Williamson Creek.
An autopsy was ordered.
The storms were moving out of the region Wednesday, but a chance of showers lingers through the day.
Experts say some rivers in South Texas will likely remain above flood stage for a few days.
The forecast for Central Texas includes a chance of showers through the day Wednesday with highs in the lower 60s.
Thursday should be mostly sunny with highs in the lower 70s.
