SAN FRANCISCO (December 5, 2012)--There were new flood concerns Wednesday in Northern California as yet another storm pushed through the region.
Rain has been falling along the coast and inland areas, but the heaviest rain was expected early Wednesday.
The National Weather Service said coastal mountains could get as much as six inches of precipitation before the storm moves out later in the day.
Other areas may only receive an inch or so.
Forecasters are not expecting weather as severe as the series of storms that rocked the region over a five-day period that ended Sunday.
Meteorologist Holly Osbourne said "winds will be much lighter" and there will be less rain too.
Forecasters also said larger rivers in the region are expected to remain below flood stage.
