WACO (July 25, 2011)—The National Weather Service has again extended the heat advisory for much of Central Texas and temperatures continue to soar to near record levels.
The entire state continues to suffer an extreme drought.
The heat advisory is now effective through 9 p.m. Tuesday for Hamilton, Bosque, Hill, Navarro, Coryell, Bell, McLennan, Falls and Milam Counties.
Afternoon temperatures could be as high as 107 and heat index values could reach 110.
Overnight lows will be around 80.
