Rusty Garrett here with the weekend outlook: Showers and thunderstorms are likely both days. Heavy rainfall and at least some risk of strong to severe storms will be present.
(April 15, 2014) The official Central Texas temperature dropped to 31 degrees early Tuesday at Waco Regional Airport, tying a record set more than three decades ago.
The last time it was that cold on April 15 was in 1983.
Another cold night lies ahead, but temperatures will drop only into the upper 30s.
Highs on Wednesday should be in the upper 60s.
