More Roads Reopened After Deluge In South Texas County

EAGLE PASS (June 18, 2013)—More roads and areas that were flooded by a deluge over the weekend in Maverick County were reopened Tuesday.

Weekend storms dumped 17 inches of rain on Eagle Pass.

The weather has improved, as well.

The National Weather Service says Tuesday's forecast for Eagle Pass includes a mostly sunny sky and temperatures in the upper 90s.

The Red Cross and the Salvation Army continued to work together to provide food to residents who were forced to seek shelter at Eagle Pass Junior High School.
