RICHMOND, Va. (March 17, 2014) Virginia State Police troopers responded to more than 350 wrecks after a winter storm hit the state, and spokeswoman Corinne Geller said troopers also responded to reports of 228 disabled vehicles between midnight and 10 a.m. Monday.
In central Virginia, state police said at least four people were treated for serious injuries after a weather-related wreck.
A commercial passenger bus overturned at around 4 a.m. Monday on Interstate 95 in Stafford County.
The driver was charged with reckless driving, police said.
The bus was carrying 58 passengers from New York to Doraville, Ga.
Airlines canceled some morning flights because of the storm.
In suburban Washington, the National Weather Service reported that 10 inches of snow fell at Dulles International Airport and more than 7 inches at Reagan National Airport, which closed its runways for several hours.
