LOS ANGELES (January 15, 2014) Santa Ana winds could fan several small wildfires burning Wednesday in in Southern California, causing the flames to spread.
Those strong winds were expected to remain at advisory levels until midday Wednesday and red-flag warnings were expected to remain in effect until Wednesday evening.
Wildfires have also broken out in struck Northern California, where a fire on Kimball Island between San Francisco and Sacramento was threatening buildings.
The Coast Guard has been helping with evacuations.
