KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 24, 2013)--Few signs of spring were apparent this weekend in parts of the Midwest as a snowstorm tracked mostly along Interstate 70, producing heavy snow and high winds.
The National Weather Service said parts of Colorado and northwest Kansas received 10 to 15 inches of snow Saturday, and southwestern Nebraska got as much as 7 inches.
The system was moving east Sunday.
A winter storm warning was issued for much of central Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.
Five to 10 inches of snow is forecast along a line from Kansas City to St. Louis.
Central Illinois and Indiana could get as much as 10 inches overnight and into Monday morning.
The weather didn't affect the NCAA men's basketball championships in Kansas City.
North Carolina coach Roy Williams said it was "no distraction."
