PHOENIX (July 22, 2013)--A storm that rolled through metropolitan Phoenix Sunday morning produced about a half inch of rain and caused flooding in some washes.
Authorities say they rescued several motorists who were trapped in their vehicles after they tried to drive through floodwaters.
No injuries were reported.
The downpour led to several road closings.
Areas north of Tucson also are got rain.
On Saturday, southeast Tucson experienced flash flooding from a storm that brought about three-fourths of an inch of rain.
The storm downed electric power lines in Tucson and led to two water rescue efforts Saturday.
