DOTHAN, Ala. (December 3, 2012)--Snow is a comparative rarity in Alabama, so organizers of the Downtown Christmas Festival in Dothan, Ala., created their own.
Blocks of ice were chopped to a cover a hillside in man-made white stuff and there was enough for the kids to go sledding.
But the Alabama winter didn't last long.
It was 66 degrees and the Dothan Eagle reports the snow quickly melted.
