(January 4, 2013)—A wind chill advisory is in effect overnight for Cimarron, Dallam and Hartley Counties in the Texas Panhandle where a combination of wind and cold could make for a bone-chilling night.
Wind chill readings of as low as 10 degrees below zero are possible in far northwestern Texas and western Oklahoma, forecasters said.
Exposure to conditions that cold can cause hypothermia and frostbite, forecasters said.
