(February 7, 2013)—The high temperature in Central Texas broke a century-old record Thursday.
The official temperature rose to 85 degrees Thursday afternoon, topping the old record of 82 degrees set in 1911 and again in 1969, the National Weather Service said.
Temperatures should fall into the 40s overnight, however, and highs tomorrow should be in the 60s, forecasters said.
