Thunderstorms Cause Some Power Outages In Texas

SAN ANTONIO (April 30, 2013)--Thunderstorms soaked parts of South Texas and left power outages behind

CPS Energy says about 1,700 homes and businesses in the San Antonio area were without electricity Tuesday.

Crews worked to restore power after Monday night's bad weather.

The San Antonio Fire Department received several calls for high-water rescues, but no injuries were immediately reported.

Some road closures were reported before the system moved out and a severe thunderstorm warning was lifted.

The National Weather Service said the sky should clear by Tuesday afternoon in the San Antonio area.
