Week Will Be Unseasonably Warm And Dry Across Most Of Texas

DALLAS (December 4, 2012)—Forecasters say unseasonably warm temperatures are expected to persist through the week and no rain is likely to give respite to the drought that’s intensifying in most of Texas.

The National Weather Service says East and Southeast Texas will have occasional chances of light rain and cool weather was expected in the Texas Panhandle.

Otherwise, warm and dry weather is expected to prevail through the weekend.

The U.S. Drought Monitor map shows extreme to exceptional drought conditions prevailed in the Texas Panhandle and South Plains, along with the South Texas Gulf Coast.
