DALLAS (November 26, 2013) Crews are working to restore electricity to about 9,000 homes and businesses still without power after wintry weather moved through parts of Texas.
Sharyland Utilities LP reported about 5,000 customers without power Tuesday in West Texas.
Dallas-based Oncor had about 3,000 lingering outages, mainly in the Midland-Odessa area.
Oncor says severe weather this week in northern and western parts of Texas cut power to more than 30,000 customers.
Oncor customers in remote and outlying areas might not have electricity until late Wednesday.
AEP Texas had about 950 homes and businesses without electricity overnight, with the outages concentrated in the Marfa, Alpine and Fort Davis areas.
